5 Fitness Tips for Busy Executives

Creating balance between work and life can be a real challenge for busy executives. Between work and personal life, it can seem almost impossible to find the time to focus on your health and well-being, but with the help of an at home personal trainer from PGPT, you can get fit and healthy with ease.

Brilliant Breakfast

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yet so many people skip this vital meal. Even if you are eating breakfast, chances are it is not the type of food your body needs. When it comes to having the best breakfast, protein is key. Avocado, salmon, eggs and blueberries are great things to incorporate into your breakfast. What makes it so great? These excellent foods can increase and sustain your energy levels, enhance productivity, burn fat and keep you feeling fuller for longer.

Don’t Skip Meals

Following on from eating a good breakfast, it is also crucial that you don’t skip any other meals during the day. While it may be tempting to skip lunch in a push to lose weight, you couldn’t be more wrong. When you skip a meal, your blood sugar levels can become unstable, often resulting in snacking later on in the day. This is why it is important that you eat a healthy, balanced meal 3-4 times a day in order to keep you going through even the most tough of days.

Keep Hydrated

Believe it or not, so many of us are incredibly dehydrated. When we become dehydrated, our productivity levels plummet, stress levels soar and our eating habits become awful. On top of all of this, dehydration also diminishes our body’s ability to burn fat. Fortunately, there is an incredibly easy fix. Simply fill three, one litre bottles in the morning, and by the end of the day all the bottles should be empty, easy!

Eat Well When Eating Out

We understand that eating out can be a regular occurrence for many executives, whether it is to save time or for meetings, eating out can almost become routine. While you may not be able to eat out less, you can make better decisions when it comes to dining in restaurants. An easy way to make good food choices is to go for a portion of meat, with a side of veg (no mayo, butter etc.). This simple change can make a huge difference to your health in a very short amount of time. Check out our last post for more tips on how to keep on track.
