Firstly let me start off by saying that there are 2 types of fat around your abdominal area.
1) Subcutaneous fat – covers your abdominal muscles and lies directly under the skin’s surface.
2) Visceral fat – lies deeper in the abdomen beneath muscles and surrounds organs. This is what gives men the “beer belly” look.
Both types of fat have proven to cause serious concern for health risks however, it’s the visceral fat which has proven to cause more problems such as heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure etc.
Now for 2 easy steps to incorporate into your lifestyle to lose that belly.
1) high intensity exercises, such as interval training, hill sprints or heavy weights sessions (focus on compound movements like squats, deadlifts, pull ups, bench press etc)
This style of training helps the body to control glucose and helps with insulin sensitivity which is crucial for reduction in visceral fat.
2) Now get your blood sugar under control. This will help restore insulin sensitivity through the right nutrition. This can be done through reducing sugars and refine starch. Start to focus on a diet that has healthy fats (avocados, seeds, nuts. Oily fish, olive oil, coconut oil, eggs etc)
Start to implement these 2 steps and watch your belly disappear before your very eyes..
Good luck!!!
