In a word… no.
Simply put, your body can’t turn fat into muscle. And the reverse is also true; Your body can’t turn muscle into fat, either. The reason? Fat and muscle are two different types of tissue and one cannot be converted directly into the other.
In order to make sure you lose fat without also losing muscle, you have to eat the right foods. If you cut your calorie intake and don’t eat enough protein, weight loss can result in a decrease in not only fat, but also muscle.
To lose fat, you have to lose weight, and losing weight requires burning more calories than you consume.
